Tell us roughly when you want to travel and what you would hate to miss, and a planner will come back with a real day-by-day itinerary and a real price. Drafting an itinerary is free, it commits you to nothing, and nothing is confirmed until you say so.

About this itinerary: 4 Day Rwanda Gorillas And Lake Kivu Safari

No deposit is taken at enquiry stage, and nothing is confirmed until you say so.

What happens after you press send

Within one working dayA planner reads your enquiry and replies personally — with questions if the brief needs sharpening, or with a first route if it does not.

Within two to three daysYou get a day-by-day draft with lodges named, drive times shown, and the price broken down line by line. Permits are always itemised separately.

As long as it takesWe rewrite it. Most itineraries go through two or three versions before they are right, and there is no charge for any of them.

Only when you are readyA deposit secures permits and lodges. Everything about deposits, balances and cancellation is written down in the booking terms before you commit anything.

Before you write, it helps to know

The single most useful thing you can tell us is your dates and your total number of nights. Rwanda gorilla permits are capped at eight visitors per family per day and sell out months ahead for June to September and December, so dates determine what is genuinely possible far more than budget does.

  • Gorilla permits are USD 1,500 per person per trek in Rwanda, set by the Rwanda Development Board. We pass them on at cost and show them as their own line.
  • Three nights is the practical minimum for a gorilla trek with a buffer day. Seven to ten nights covers two or three parks comfortably.
  • Cross-border routes into Uganda, Kenya or Tanzania need more lead time, because permits, flights and border logistics have to be sequenced together.
  • Travel insurance covering medical repatriation is a condition of travelling with us. Read clause 12 of the booking terms.
