Day 1: Arrival Kigali International Airport

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be transferred to Retreat by Heaven (high end) or Kigali Serena Hotel (Mid-range) Overnight stay and dinner. Meal plan Dinner

Day 2: Kigali City Tour -Bwindi Forests National Park (Travel Time +4hrs)

After breakfast at 08h00, you will embark on a city tour of Kigali. It will include the Kigali (Gisozi) Genocide Memorial site The Kigali Memorial exists is a permanent memorial to those who fell victim to the genocide in 1994. It deals with a topic of international importance, with far-reaching significance, and is designed to engage and challenge an international visitor base.

Here you will be able to visit the three permanent exhibitions, the largest of which documents the genocide and pay tribute to the victims of the genocide. After an early lunch embark on a drive to Bwindi Uganda side.

Enroute lunch at your hotel choice, proceed to Uganda Bwindi, the lushest highland rainforest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. Drive by the lakes (Ruhondo and Mutera). Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge (high end lodge) or Silverback Lodge (Mid-range) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 3: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking

Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth.

The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. The afternoon is spent on a village walk. The Buhoma Village Walk gives you a great opportunity to see how the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It also is a great way to support the local community in a direct way.  The walk begins with your guide at your Camp and is most informative, rewarding to the average visitor.

It will amaze you how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their ways. Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge (high end lodge) or Silverback Lodge (Mid-range) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 4: Bwindi-Kigali (Travel Time +4 hrs)

After an early breakfast, embark on the drive from Uganda in to Rwanda. You may choose to have an early lunch en-route in Kigali. You will then be transferred to Kigali Airport for your outbound flight.  End of service Meal plan: Breakfast & Lunch
